The Subaru WRX STI VAB (produced from 2014 to 2021) is the high-performance variant of the WRX, built on Subaru’s VA chassis. Powered by the legendary EJ20 2.0-liter turbocharged flat-four (Japan) or EJ25 2.5-liter turbocharged flat-four (export models), it delivers 308–310 hp and 422–430 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. It features Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive with Driver Controlled Center Differential (DCCD) and limited-slip differentials for maximum grip. The VAB chassis is enhanced with Brembo brakes, sport-tuned suspension, and aggressive aero including a signature rear wing on the STI. Inside, it offers Recaro-inspired sport seats, performance gauges, and STI badging, making it a driver-focused machine built for rally-bred precision and track-ready performance.
